SILO ART GAINING SUPPORT

Paringa silo art proposal

The silo art phenomenon could soon be heading to Paringa with a proposal now gaining council support.

Project manager Les Webb said the initiative could boost Riverland tourism and is now seeking funding for the project.

It’s estimated the project would cost between $75,000 and $80,000 thousand dollars.

Silo Owner, Mark Yates told the Murray Pioneer he was pleased the silos could be put towards good use and congratulated project manager Les Webb on having the foresight to propose the project.

As we speak the Waikerie silo art project is well underway with local artist Garry Duncan working alongside Melbourne based street artist Jimmy Dvate to complete the project.
