POLICE CATCH DRIVERS DOING THE WRONG THING

Despite the warnings Riverland police have netted more drivers doing the wrong thing.

Around 10am last Friday, a 42-year-old Renmark man was reported for driving unlicensed after he was stopped by police in Yamba.

It will be alleged the man also provided a positive drug test for methamphetamine. The sample will be sent for to Forensic Science SA for further testing.

The driver will appear in court at a later date.

A 26 year old from Waikerie has lost his transport after he was caught doing sustained wheel spin and making excessive engine noise on McCoy street Friday night.  

The wheel spin and noise more commonly known as a burnout saw the man’s car impounded for 28 days.

The driver will appear in court at a later date.
