SA Power Networks is urging farmers to look up and live, following a number of incidents seeing tractors & air seeders crashing into powerlines - each one having the potential to cause injury or death.
The power infrastructure company say they've responded to 13 incidents of farm machinery smashing into Stobie poles and powerlines this year.
GPS complacency has been identified as some concern, with farmers urged to know the exact height and width of tractors and air seeders and to update GPS systems with the location of powerline assets.
