Free Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits are now being given out by the State Government for confirmed close contacts, however only one distribution site has been established.
The site in Adelaide’s parklands was established following the call to give the test kits out, with positive test results now needing to be reported to SA Health.
No PCR test is needed to confirm a Rapid Antigen Test, however many Riverland residents are still reporting major difficulties in finding test kits locally.
State Government distribution sites for test kits in regional locations are understood be established in coming weeks with a Riverland location understood to be on the list. Further details are expected next week.
Confirmed Covid case numbers for the Riverland in total sit just under 300, up from 230 earlier in the week.
