A recent vaccination effort from the Karoonda East-Murray Council has seen local covid vaccine rates sky rocket, now pushing 80% single dose.
The area, with just over 1000 residents had been behind many areas of the state with accessibility to the vaccinations locally seen as an issue by some local residents.
Two separate clinics run recently by the Council & Country SA PHN saw a strong response with several locals attending, with locals prior needing to go to Murray Bridge or the Riverland.
As well, The Mid Murray Council say they are also working with the Health department to lift the vaccine rates in the Mid-Murray, with a number of mobile clinics in recent weeks.
While the councils current 77.6% single dose rate is on the lower end for the state, significant work has been done in recent times to lift the numbers.
Data released yesterday showed the Loxton-Waikerie, Berri-Barmera & Renmark-Paringa Council areas all over 90% single dose covid vaccinated.
