A strong crowd was in attencence Sunday at the Berri Rowing club, with the club celebrating 100 years of operation.
Members past and present attended the centenary event on Sunday, which was also attended by the State Premier.
RIverland based Olympic Gold Medal Rower Alexander Hill was also in attendance were the Berri Rowing club named a boat in his honour.
The Club plans to host a come and try day soon with locals interested in getting into the sport welcomed to contact the club.
A club spokesperson said the club has a fantastic history, with the club in 1920’s and 1930’s competing in several state & national competitions.
The Riverland Rowing Regatta returns this December, however takes place this year at the Renmark Rowing Club.
