An application to replace a currently unused service station in Glossop has sparked debate with some local residents.
The application, currently before council proposes the replacement of the former BP site in Glossop with a new service station which also incorporates car & dog washing facilities.
Last week a small but passionate group met to discuss the proposed development voicing concerns of the redevelopment of the site that was a service station from the 1960’s until recently.
A spokesperson from the development said the EPA has guidelines that need to be followed and the plans had been given the green light from the EPA, and the new site would be a boost for local employment.
Public feedback on the application can be made until this Friday via the Berri-Barmera Council.
