Regional Development Australia Murraylands and Riverland has appointed a new chairperson for the organisation.
Earlier this week the organisation announced Mrs Jodie Hawkes would take the helm, following a long tenure from Neil Martinson.
The Hon Nola Marino MP, Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories said, “Mrs Hawkes will lead RDAMR under a refreshed Charter that focuses their role on driving investment and local procurement opportunities and through this, creating jobs and economic growth for our regions.
Outgoing RDAMR Chair and Renmark-Paringa Mayor Neil Martinson thanked Board members, staff and its many stakeholders for their support and collaboration throughout the last decade.
Mayor Martinson also holds the honour of being the longest serving chair of any RDA chair across Australia.
