QUEEN'S BATON RELAY COMING TO THE RIVERLAND

The Queen’s baton relay is coming to the Riverland this weekend and locals are invited to see it as it makes its way through Paringa and Renmark this Sunday.

19 local residents will transport the baton from this weekend and the Queen's Baton Relay has been a part of the commonwealth games since 1958.

The Riverland stint of the journey starts in Paringa at 7.30 Sunday then makes its way through the Sturt highway and then on to Murray Avenue Renmark where  the celebrations will take place on the Renmark Riverfront lawns.
