Logie Award nominations will be announced on Sunday at the new home for Australian TV's night of nights on the Gold Coast.
Hosted by Richard Wilkins and Sarah Harris, the ceremony at the Star Casino will reveal the shortlist of nominees and who's in the running for the prestigious Gold Logie Award.
Australians had a chance to cast their vote in the "Most Popular" categories, including best actor and actress, and the award for most popular personality on Australian TV.
Last year Grant Denyer was the surprise winner of the 60th Gold trophy following a last-minute campaign run by comedian and Hard Quiz host Tom Gleeson.
A Current Affair's Tracy Grimshaw was expected to win the award but Gleeson started the #denyerforgold campaign.
For the second time the awards ceremony will take place in Queensland on June 30, after the Victorian government offloaded the event.
Melbourne had played host to the glamorous evening for most occasions since 1959, but said it no longer represented value for money.
Last year the change of location reportedly prevented some stars from attending, while TV personalities including Channel Nine host Karl Stefanovic protested the move.
But Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate remains enthusiastic.
"Last year we rolled out the red carpet in true Gold Coast style and proved we're the perfect host for Australian TV's night of nights," Mr Tate said in a statement.
