There’s still now word from Labor or the Greens as who will represent them locally at this year’s federal election.
No date for an election has yet been set, however it must be held prior to the 17th of May.
So far just the Liberal’s Tony Pasin and Independent Candidate Cody Scholes are known starters for the seat of Barker.

The local federal seat is seen as one of the Liberals safest, and has been held by Pasin since 2013.
In 2022, 9 candidates stood to represent Barker.
