The state opposition have made moves to look further at the preparation and response for the recent River Murray flooding.
Opposition Leader David Speirs said “By establishing a select committee, our aim is to thoroughly investigate key aspects of the disaster, including the roles and responsibilities at all levels of government, the grants processes and river flow management and modelling,”
Labor have so far ruled out an independent inquiry into the matter.
