Rural road funding outlined further

More audio tactile line marking, more safety barriers and rural junction activated warning systems are all said to be part of regional road upgrades.

This week’s state budget is expected to see a further $52.6M allocated, which falls on top of the existing $350M

State Treasurer Steven Mullighan said “Speed and inattention have already claimed too many lives and these measures are designed to compel drivers to slow down and keep their eyes on the road.”
