Regional Skills Centres are set to be established, as the state government ramps up skills and training.
Data shows SA needs near on 100,000 vocational education training (VET) qualifications over the next five years to meet demand.
Yesterday, Berri was listed as a site for a skills centre which will be physical spaces for South Australians to access information about local training and employment opportunities.
The regional centres will also provide localised specialist training to meet local needs.
Education Minister, Blair Boyer says “We need to put the work in now, to ensure we have the capacity and skills, to deliver the ambitious projects of the future including AUKUS, hydrogen, and three-year-old preschool”
