There’s a new tool that could assist local wine grape producers navigate what is a challenging time.
A new easy to read wine grape price transparency dashboard is now live via the Wine Australia website, taking in 12 separate data sources.
Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Murray Watt launched the dashboard this week, saying “the tool will provide growers with relevant and easily accessible market information, helping to redress the power imbalances that have traditionally existed in the winegrape and other perishable-goods supply chains,”
While the industry sees a significant oversupply, the new price dashboard follows a ACCC market study through inland warm climate wine regions which commenced in 2018.
