Momentum building for Waikerie in Riverland Football

Waikerie have again proven they can’t be discounted this year in Riverland Football.

Their controlled approach was evident against Loxton on Saturday, with the young Waikerie side taking their chances when they could, winning 14.15-99 to 9.9-63.

Mapgies youngster Kade Hilton put away five majors in 36 point win, with Loxton finishing the game down on rotations due to injuries.

That win sees Waikerie now in 3rd at the half way mark of the season.

Other winners in round eight were top of the table Barmera-Monash who defeated Berri 12.6-78 to Berri 5.4-34, While Renmark put in another solid performance at home and defeated Loxton North by 81 points.

Games in round 9 has Renmark take on Berri, Waikerie host Barmera-Monash while Loxton North host Loxton.
