University researchers are wanting to hear from those impacted by last summer’s River Murray flooding.
The research being undertaken by Natural Hazards Research Australia in partnership with several universities aims to assist in improving future response efforts.
Researchers also wanting to hear how the long lead time impacted preparations and experiences when floodwaters arrived in SA.
Lead researcher and occupational psychologist, Associate Professor Mel Taylor, from Macquarie University, said the views of anyone affected by the floods are important to build a detailed picture of flooding impact.
“Every story is important as there were a wide range of flood impacts. Not everyone who was affected will have had water in their home or business.”
