Another fruit fly outbreak zone has been declared in the Riverland.

The latest discovery in Murtho (Murtho F) takes the tally locally to 56, however pleasingly 27 zones have not had a detection in the past 12 weeks.

Fruit fly officials are calling for locals to continue the good work, with Incident Controller of the Fruit Fly Emergency Response, Jason Size saying it’s important for Riverlanders in fruit fly affected areas (red outbreak areas and yellow suspension areas) to leave any home-grown restricted produce at home.
