River Murray flows to South Australia are expected to increase again this week.
A so-called ‘pulse’ of water is heading downstream after water releases upstream from both the Menindee Lakes & Victorian Goulburn River system.
The water from the Gouburn is expected to freshen up the quality of water heading downstream, which is being done in part of a trial of connecting the Northern & Southern basin.
The expected peak of flow is forecast to be approximately 12-14 GL/day from mid to late July at the South Australian border.
Daily Flow on Friday sat just under 8 Gigalitres, and by this Friday are expected to be 13Gigaltres.
