The Riverland has been labelled “stubbornly non-compliant”, following a fair work ombudsman blitz through the Agricultural Sector.
Since 2021 Over 470 businesses have been investigated nationally, with inspectors handing out almost $50,000 in Riverland Infringement notices alone.
Over $42,000 of that was to labour hire companies for payslip and record-keeping breaches.

Anna Booth from the Fair Work Ombudsman warned that “Employers can expect on-the-spot Compliance Notices if they breach their obligations.”
