The pending return of the Riverland Wine and Food Festival this weekend is just one local event this long weekend.
Event coordinator, Andrew Sarakinis says he’s been thrilled with the events interest, adding many locals have wanted to see the event back at the Berri Riverfront.
The event was last held in its original format in 2019, with this year’s return shifting away from the once usual October timeslot.
A number of local wine producers will be at the event, with Mr Sarakinis emphasising the Riverland ‘local’ element.
The Riverland makes around 1/3rd of the nation’s wine grapes each year, and continues to face hurdles in the wake of mass oversupplies of wine grapes.
