Drivers behaving badly

A driver who allegedly failed to stop for Police in Berri will now face court, after an arrest late last week.

Last Friday Police attempted to stop the car in Obst Street, however Police say the driver failed to stop.

Shortly after, Police subsequently spoke with a 44-year-old Berri man who was allegedly driving the vehicle.

He’ll now face court, charged with failing to stop, drive with excess blood alcohol and breaching P-plate conditions.

In a separate incident on Saturday, Police stopped a car in Renmark travelling at 69 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

Police checks revealed the male driver in his 40’s was disqualified from driving due to a previous drug driving offence.

Police allege the driver then failed to comply with a drug test, and was subsequently reported for exceed speed, drive whilst disqualified and failing to comply with drug testing.

He’s now expected to face the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
