A local MP is calling for the Truro freight route project uncertainty to end.
Federal Member for Barker, Tony Pasin recently raised serious concern over the project to see Sturt Highway traffic shift out of the Truro Township.
While over $200M in State and Federal funding is allocated, a labor spending review could see the project fail to get off the ground.
Pasin said “The project was not only delayed, with construction initially planned to begin in December 2022, but now the project was at risk altogether under the Albanese Labor Government”.
Around 4000 vehicles travel through the town of Truro per day, with 30% of that said to be heavy vehicles.
