Riverland Division of General Practice is about to launch their latest free adult community education program.

‘Cooking with Confidence’ is a twelve week interactive cooking program targeted at people aged 17+ who are unemployed and not enrolled to study. The program aims to increase participant’s confidence in the kitchen and improve their literacy and numeracy skills; which will encourage community participation and further earning and learning opportunities.

Cooking with Confidence will see participants cook different recipes each week, learn about healthy eating on a budget, safe food handling, how to read food labels and as a group will produce a cook book.

All participants will be linked into the Regional Development Australia Career Development Centre at the end of the program for further career planning and support.

The course commences on Tuesday 11th July.
